In this world we live in full of anger and strife
We've got God's Word to spread, one of eternal life
So why do some add to the problems
Truth in the Word has been denied
They're too busy pleasing others
With their own foolish pride
So sick of division in all the religions upholding the doctrines of man
God never meant for His Word to be argued or for us not to understand
Why was it everytime I wanted to talk
I got nothing but opinion and I wanted to walk
Hearing contradictions in the words they said
Confusion running through my head
Remember that the message you send
Can hurt someone in the end
And when it's not the truth that you say
All you do is push them away
Methodist, Baptist, Catholic or Lutheran, why don't you stand united
I don't care what you call yourself long as the Word is rightly divided
Why was it everytime I wanted to talk

FREEDOM IN MY HEART
Never once did I ever think that I'd amount to much of anything
Looking for answers in something but I never found any in everything
That I tried, but I didn't know about Jesus Christ
And how God gave His Son to die
And with Christ's ascension and God's grace I've got eternal life
I never thought the thing's that I sought I would ever find
Then because of believing I started receiving that needed peace of mind
And now there's freedom in my heart
Now I'm no longer held in bondage from the fear of my physical death
And I know I'll go on even though this body might give it's last breath

Because God is around and with me and in me every step of the way
